Happy Birthday Andy

Andy turned one year old on February 14, and he is ready to share what is going on in his world. Andy had a party with friends and family. He handled it like a pro, but maybe ate a little too much. He did not leave room for cake, but enjoyed everyone singing to him.

Andy also had his one year check-up this morning. With a weight loss from being sick and a little bit of a weight gain from getting better, he now weighs 22 pounds 7 oz. He is 29.25 inches long. That makes him around 40% or so, I was not given the exact percentiles. He has six front teeth and the top two molars in, but the bottom two are still working on poking out. The doctor said he could see them, but I have not seen them yet. Andy is developmentally right on too. Walking across a room, climbing stairs, and waving are his favorite. He says a few words, but very difficult to understand, mostly grunting and yelling. He claps when he is happy and when he is signing more.

Andy loves to play with Elliana and jump on a bed. As soon as he wakes up, he stands and then starts jumping and shaking his crib with a lot of gusto.

ENT

Elliana went back to Dr. Myers to have her regular ear check-up. It did not go as she (Ana) had planned. The Dr. had to pull quite a bit of wax and some infected tissue from her ear. She is having to use ear drops and then maybe get the tube pulled out in a couple of weeks. She usually loves to go to the doctors, so hopefully this will not ruin it for her.

Ana's favorite food is chicken nuggets and favorite saying is "no, no, Andy." She tells this to him every chance she gets, he responds with a cry. Elliana has also taken to see how much harm she can cause her brother before she gets in trouble. She has given him a few bumps and bruises on his head, smashed a few fingers, and pushed him over a few times, all in the name of "big sister". In public, she will give him kisses and hugs, while looking around to see how is going to tell her she is so sweet.

Andy will get his big update is few weeks when he turns one. He is still sick and seems like he wants to give up fighting this cold.
