4 Months

Okay we will start with Elliana. Her hand is doing great. It may scare since the burn is so deep, but overall that is not too bad. Her ears were great too. She enjoyed going to the doctors and was glad she was not getting an shots.

Andrew is just about 17 pounds! He is a heavy little guy and is not easily carried in his car seat anymore. He is 25.5 inches long and has a very small head. His skin problem is still up in the air, but getting better. However, due that and his wheezing (before, not now) he will have to wait to start solids. It is recommended that he be six months, which is when Elliana started.

Development: He rolled over for the first time yesterday. That is, from belly to back. When I got out the camera he stopped. We will keep trying to capture it, but we will see. Last night he slept for 10 hours straight. Lets hope he keeps that up!

17 Hours

We left at 5:30 in the morning on what should have been at most a 12 hour drive home that turned into a 17 hours dirve. We made it home to put Elliana and Andy to bed in their own beds around 10:30. They both did very well in the situation and we are very proud of them. Elliana did watch the 15 minute BOZ video four times in the last hour.

We had a great time on vacation, or trip, as Chris now calls them. Andy has his four month appointment tomorrow so I will update again soon.

Kiawah Island

This week we have been on vacation. It started with a second degree burn on the back of Elliana's hand and Andy with a very bed diaper rash (or something wrong with his bum).

The drive down was great. We left last Firday and stopped after 4 hours of driving. We picked back up driving in the morning and drove the last 9 nine hours. Both kids slepted and played without any problems.

When we arrived, we went for a walk on the beach. We are staying with some friends so everything was already set up for us to just come in and relax. We have spent the mornings on the beach and the afternoons at the pool. Yesterday we went into Charleston for the day and then Chris and I went on a date for dinner.

Everyone has had a great time, except for maybe Andy. He does not really like the heat at the beach and has had stomach pains most of the week. Elliana has her hand wrapped at the beach and loves to jump in the waves and dig in the sand.

I have not spell checked this so there may be more errors than normal...sorry.

Pa-pa

Last week Grandma M was able to come down and spend the week taking care of two needy, and sometimes very cranky, kids. Elliana would ask several times a day to talk with Pa-Pa (Grandpa) on the phone. She woke up this morning wanting Grandma to brush her teeth and then wanted to know where Grandpa was.
Elliana did have her tube replaced and then had a fever for the rest of the week. Her favorite saying is "hold you". Which she can say a record number of times!
After practicing Happy Birthday all morning (on Saturday), she could not say it when Chris got up. Chris had a good birthday and ended it by getting himself up and out the door on Sunday at 6:00am for a Wii. We have not hooked it up yet, so we will see how many hours we will be up late playing.
